Governing Body

Governors are responsible for ensuring the National Curriculum is taught in accordance with current legislation. They are responsible for the recruitment of staff, for the use of the building, and for prudent financial management of the school.

What OFSTED said about the Governors in January 2008

  • “…governors have managed change in the school’s remit extremely effectively, while having a clear vision and plan for the future development of its extended services.”
  • “Governors are extremely committed to the school and fulfil their responsibilities well, such as understanding the need to monitor the impact of their decision to fund additional speech therapy provision”

Governors meetings are held twice each term and a number of committees meet in between to deal with specific issues of school life.
