Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is given individually or in groups, to those children in the School identified by Consultant Paediatricians as needing therapy.
Children are examined and assessed before a plan is developed.
The physiotherapist identifies physical difficulties and plans programmes of care working closely with class teams, other therapists and parents to ensure continued physical management of individual children at home and school.
The physiotherapist prepares class and home management programmes advising of progress and informing changes in physiotherapy intervention and involvement.
Contact with parents is encouraged and the physiotherapist is available to parents whenever they feel the need for discussion about their child’s programme.
Our physiotherapist’s are Janet Murden for the school and Diane Lyle for the Child Development Centre.
