What is Early Learning Family Support Group?

Early Learning Family Support Group (ELFS) is a activity group for children with special needs from birth to the age of about two years.  During this time parents/carers often feel the need for support and reassurance.

This group provides a relaxed friendly venue for parents to talk and to share experiences.  To aid this we limit groups to approximately six children per session.

There are regular visits from therapists such as Speech and Language, Physio and specialist teachers including those for Visual Impairments and Hearing Impairments. They help to guide our activities to promote the children's’ development.  We provide fun activities for babies/toddlers and their parents to enjoy.  We also highlight other services available and give access to specialist toys and equipment.

We receive in-put from Portage Practitioners, this is a home-based educational programme run by the Gloucestershire Early Years SEN Service.
